Nutrition Coaching for Women
You're doing everything that used to work. So why has it stopped working?
Nutrition coaching that goes deeper than macros. For women who are done with restrictive plans, tired of starting over, and ready for something that actually fits their life.
I'm Dr. Quinnett Swank, a therapist and nutrition coach. Most nutrition help hands you macros and a plan and walks away. I work one layer deeper: the habits, the behavior, and the reasons the old approach stopped working, so what we build actually holds.
This isn't restriction, perfection, or another plan that ignores your real life. It's understanding what changed and building something you can keep.
Nutrition coaching is available virtually, nationwide.
Book a Coaching ConsultationI've been on the other side of this.
For years I believed the answer was less. Smaller portions, longer workouts, more discipline. When my body stopped responding the way it used to, I did what most of us are taught to do. I pushed harder. It left me tired, frustrated, and further from feeling like myself, not closer.
What finally changed things was understanding what was actually happening. My hormones were shifting, and my body was handling food, stress, and recovery differently than it had for years. Once I understood that, I stopped fighting my body and started fueling it for the season it was actually in. Enough protein. Strength instead of endless cardio. Eating and moving in a way that worked with the changes instead of against them.
The difference showed up in how I felt. More energy through the whole day. Stronger. A mood that finally felt steady instead of all over the place.
That shift is the whole reason I coach. I know what it feels like to do everything right and still feel stuck, and I know it can be different. Now I help women understand their own hormonal changes and fuel to support them, with real science behind it and none of the shame.
Your body changed. The old rules didn't come with a warning.
You're doing what always worked, and it isn't working. Maybe the weight settles somewhere new. Maybe your energy drops by afternoon. Maybe the plan you could always fall back on just stopped delivering.
You're not failing. The approach was built for a different body and a different life than the one you're living now.
Here's the part most coaches skip: they hand you a new plan without ever explaining why the last one quit. That's the work I do first. We figure out what actually changed, then build around it.
Most plans hand you macros. We go deeper than the numbers.
A lot of wellness advice stops at the surface: eat less, move more, be more disciplined, push harder.
But if your body is under-fueled, overstressed, under-recovered, or shifting hormonally, pushing harder isn't the fix. It's often what's making it worse.
In coaching, we look at what's actually driving the struggle: how you're fueling, your stress and sleep, your movement, your habits, and your relationship with food. Every session is built around your life, not a checklist.
Restore. Observe. Optimize. Train. Evaluate. Design. Get to the root. Build a foundation that lasts.
Educational and supportive. Not therapy or medical treatment.

The Training Behind the Coaching
My background as a therapist shapes how I coach. Most nutrition programs focus only on food, workouts, or willpower. But the stress, the habits, the emotions, and the patterns underneath your eating matter just as much, and that's the part I'm trained to see.
My nutrition training covers the practical side: fueling, protein, movement, routines, and sustainable change. Together, that means you're working with someone who understands the behavior and the nutrition as one connected system.
To be clear: coaching with me is not therapy, and I keep the two completely separate. Coaching is educational and supportive, and it is not a substitute for therapy or medical care.
THE R.O.O.T.E.D. METHOD
Restore. Observe. Optimize. Train. Evaluate. Design.
This is the framework we use to go deeper than macros. Each step builds on the last, so what you create actually holds.
Restore
Rebuild your mindset and motivation first. Change that starts with pressure ends with burnout.
Observe
Look at your habits with curiosity, not judgment. You cannot change a pattern you're busy criticizing.
Optimize
Dial in nutrition, sleep, stress, and movement so your body has what it needs to respond.
Train
Build strength and activity you can sustain. Movement is support, not punishment.
Evaluate
Track progress with data and honest reflection, so decisions come from evidence instead of frustration.
Design
Create a lifestyle you can maintain, so you stop starting over and start trusting yourself again.
This is the foundation we build inside Rooted Wellness Reset.
Rooted Wellness Reset
1:1 Nutrition Coaching Program
Rooted Wellness Reset is my signature program for women who are done with quick fixes, restrictive plans, and the cycle of starting over.
Together we look at what's actually driving the struggle: under-fueling, inconsistent routines, stress, low energy, sleep, movement, and the pressure to keep pushing when your body is asking for something different. We work through it using the R.O.O.T.E.D. Method, step by step, at a pace your life can hold.
When it's useful, optional functional lab testing can help us understand what your body may be communicating, in areas like nutrient status, digestion, stress patterns, blood sugar, or hormones. Lab testing is educational only. It is not used to diagnose, treat, or replace medical care. I do not prescribe medication or manage medical conditions, and I encourage you to keep working with your medical providers.
What's included:
A 60-minute strategy session to review your assessment and set your goals
Bi-weekly 45-minute 1:1 coaching sessions
Weekday messaging support between sessions through the coaching app
Habit tracking and weekly feedback
A personalized nutrition and strength strategy covering fueling, protein, cravings, and movement, built around your body and season of life
Nervous system and stress-regulation support
Mindset and behavior-change support
The goal: Understand what needs to change and why. Give your body what it needs. Build habits that hold. Stop starting over.

GLP-1 SUPPORT
Using a GLP-1 medication?
A GLP-1 can be a helpful tool, but the medication alone doesn't build the foundation your body needs. Protein, strength, nutrition habits, stress support, recovery, and your relationship with food still matter. That's where coaching comes in.
I help women on GLP-1 medications build the nutrition and lifestyle foundation the medication can't: protein and fueling that protect your energy and muscle while appetite is lower, movement that works with your body, nervous system and stress support, and habits that hold up over time, without falling back into all-or-nothing.
Swank Counseling and Wellness does not prescribe or manage medications. Clients using GLP-1 medications should remain under the care of their prescribing provider. I do not prescribe, adjust, or advise on medication.
Your habits are not a character flaw.
Your energy, sleep, cravings, stress, and the way your body feels are all information. This work helps you read it and build a realistic path forward.
Evidence-informed. Built around your real life. Made to last.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. Nutrition coaching is not therapy and is not a substitute for therapy or medical care.
Therapy is a clinical mental health service I provide separately to therapy clients located in Nevada. Nutrition coaching is educational and supportive, and it is available virtually, nationwide.
If something comes up in coaching that would be better supported by therapy or medical care, I will let you know, and I encourage you to connect with a licensed provider in your area.

I am a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach through the Institute of Transformational Nutrition, where I trained in a whole-person approach that looks at how food, stress, sleep, and daily habits work together to shape how you feel. I am also a Certified Functional Lab Specialist, which means I am trained to use functional lab testing as an educational tool to better understand what your body may be communicating.
What this means for you is simple. You are working with someone who understands the mind and the body as one connected system, and who brings real training to both sides of that connection.
I do not provide medical nutrition therapy. I do not prescribe diets. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions through coaching.

-
Yes. Many women find that medication helps with appetite and weight, but it does not teach the body how to eat well, move, recover, or feel steady day to day. That is the work we do together.
Coaching helps you build the nutrition foundation that protects your energy and muscle while your appetite is lower, with a focus on protein, fueling, and consistency. We also work on movement that supports strength, nervous system and stress regulation, recovery, and habits that hold up over time.
My role is to support your nutrition and lifestyle. I do not prescribe, adjust, or advise on medication. I encourage you to continue working with the provider who manages your prescription, and coaching works alongside that care, not in place of it.
